Course Description

Course Description

This is training on permanent method for women who have decided to bear no more children. The two weeks course will enable trainees to acquire adequate knowledge and skill on Tubal Ligation under local anesthesia. Throughout the course, the facilitator will use different approaches and employ adult principles of Learning and other Teaching methods.

Course Description

This clinical skills course is designed to prepare qualified health service providers (primarily maternal newborn and child health (MNCH) providers [e.g. midwives, nurse midwives, doctors] and other clinician) who are capable of delivering high quality PPFP services to women beginning with counseling when they are pregnant (ideally) and continuing through their first PPFP follow-up at a 4 to 6 weeks.

Course Benefit

By the end of the training, the participant will be able to:

  • State pregnancies and the benefits of PPFP;
  • Explain basic information about the IUCD (interval4 and postpartum):its effectiveness, safety, mechanism of action, advantages and limitations, and other general attributes; and the medical eligibility criteria ;
