FGAE Eastern Area office is located in Eastern part of Ethiopia in Harar town and Established in 1983 G.C. Currently, the Area office 89 staff are employed under the area office. 32 (36%) were female and the remaining 57 (64%). Similarly, 32 (35%) and 57 (64%) employees were clinical and non – clinical respectively.

Implementation site (region, zone, wereda)

The area office has operates in three regions and one city administration namely; Harari Region (in three woredas), Dire Dawa City Administration in three kebeles/woredas, Somali Region in two zones and nine woredas, in Oromia region West Hararghe zone, six woredas. Eastern Area Office is providing integrated, comprehensive, quality, equitable and gender sensitive SRH services. The area office has six FGAE owned static clinics. These are Harar Model clinic, Harar Youth Center, Jigjiga Medium clinic, Dire Dawa Medium clinic, Dire Dawa Sex workers friendly clinic and Chiro medium clinic.
