FGAE South West Area office is established in the year 1986 GC. During this year (2020), the area office has deployed a total of 93 staffs /employees, of which 32 (35%) were female, while the remaining 61 (65%) were male. From this 41 (44%) are clinical professionals and 52 (56%) are non-clinical staffs.

FGAE South West Area Office of FGAE is operating in South Western part of Ethiopia covering part of the National Regional State of Oromia (embracing Jimma, Ilu Ababora, East Wollega, and West Wollega Zones), SNNPR (Bonga and Benchi-Maji zones), and Gambella as well as Benishangul Gumz region. The Area Office houses 27 Woredas.
South West Area Office is providing integrated SRH services to the community, with six SRH clinics (JMC, NSRHC, Jimma and Gambella SWFCs, GYC, MMSRHC and one Youth Center attached to Jima Medium SRHC), one mobile clinic (WISH), 38 private health facilities (family Health networks) and 102 outreach sites attached to Public facilities like health posts, health centers, hospitals and university clinics aimed to address access to SRH services to the service needy community: the underserved youth and rural women.
