Human Resource  & Organizational Development

Ensuring the credibility of the organization through enhancing human resource development and financial management system is a kernel to institutional viability. FGAE has been a center for the development of critical mass of human resource on SRH. The Association, however, needs to build a pool of professionals who demonstrate an exemplary performance that inspire others. Indeed, HRD coupled with   research, training, management, service provision, quality assessment and documentation will bring about high caliber and expertise to improve its role FGAE has to be a place for incubating young professionals and creating young SRH leaders, champions, change agents, and promoters.

The HR and Organizational Development department is accountable to the Executive Director. In the HQ premise it is staffed with HR Manager and Senior HR Officer. At area office level, its functions is executed by Finance and Administration Services Coordinator (FASC). The HR&OD supervises the General Services (GS) Coordinator, Driver Mechanic and Maintenance expert. In essence, the department implements and facilitates the following functions and roles:

  • In relation to Human Resource Management
  • Recruitment, selection, placement and induction of new employees
  • Promotion and transfer of personnel as well as renewal and termination of employment contract
  • Performance agreement and evaluation appraisal
  • The career development, training and educational support of staff
  • Handling of staff reprimanding and disciplinary cases
  • In relation to GS and Operations
  • Execution of transport operations and controlling movement as well as maintenance
  • Physical plan safety, security and renovation
  • Equipment repair
  • Cleaning and sanitation of facilities
