Safe Passage Workshop held in Rabat, Morocco from June 17-29, 2025.

The Safe Passage Workshop, organized and conducted by the IPPF Africa Region and the IPPF Arab World Region, took place from Tuesday, June 17, to Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Executive Boutique Hotel in Rabat, Morocco. Two participants were attended from each eight Member Associations.
• Africa Region: Ethiopia, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Niger
• Arab World Region: Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, and Mauritania
During the workshop, the consultant presented their assessment report, which included the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE). This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the capacity of the regional consortium to effectively respond to the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and protection needs of people on the move.
Specific objectives of the workshop was:-
1. Present and validate findings from the situation analysis (Deliverable 1) conducted between
February-March 2025, ensuring stakeholder input and consensus on key issues.
2. Share preliminary results from MA capacity assessments, highlighting strengths, gaps, and
Opportunities for capacity development across the potential consortium.
3. Co-create a comprehensive Theory of Change that will guide the development of the Stream 2 Call for Proposals and subsequent program implementation.
4. Establish a shared understanding of consortium models, roles, responsibilities, and
Implementation approaches for effective cross-border programming.
5. Identify strategic priorities, intervention modalities, and collaborative mechanisms to ensure
Continuity of care for people on the move across multiple countries.
