A delegation from the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) successfully represented Ethiopia at the 8th Pan-African Conference on Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AYSRHR) in Mombasa, Kenya. The event brought together representatives from over 38 African, Asian, and European countries, as well as the UN and several other international organizations. The team’s participation followed the guidance and warm wishes of FGAE’s Executive Director.
Key contributions included presentations by youth delegates Rediet and Hayat on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), a session on safeguarding AYSRH in Ethiopia by Ato Sintayehu Demeke, and an address by YAM President Rediet on the importance of AYSRH for adolescents and youth.
The team returned safely to Addis Ababa. FGAE Executive Director Ato Ayo Abadi Kalayou commended the team for their strong representation and their contribution to advancing youth SRHR across Africa.
