FGAE was Involved in Motion Tracker Orientation Workshop in Uganda
TRAINING WORKSHOP ON THE MOTION TRACKER: On Advocating of Global Commitments to Local Actors to Foster Accountability Together. The workshop has been occurred in Uganda from January 27 -30 in 2019 at Sheraton Hotel appealing more than 11 participants from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and America and it will be continued till January 30, 2019. With the aim of building on existing accountability routines for family planning and increase stakeholder engagement and amalgamation of efforts to achieve specific targets/commitment statements of the four countries.
The workshop was accompanied with ongoing presentations and discussions among participants. FGAE delegates were also actively engaged in presentations and discussions with issues seemingly relevant and fitting. Specifically, the workshop was focused on the implementation of the Motion Tracker in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Kenya. Accordingly, the workshop covered the following main key topics:
- What is the motion trucker
- Why track commitment.
- Purpose and Approach of motion tracker
- Countries FP2020 commitment.
At the completion of the workshop each country had prepared and presented three months work plan as to how motion tracker would be deployed in each respected county and the action plan were commented by participants. Likewise, FGAE has also made action plan and presented to the forum.
