FGAE provided 2.1 Million Birr Worth protection materials for Combating COVID-19 and to take over its social responsibility

His Excellency Dr. Dereje Duguma, Vice State Minister of Federal Republic of Ethiopia, led the Ministry of Health higher officials and attended the 2.1 Million birr COVID-19 Protection support program. There were also two Regional Health Bureau Higher officials who attended the Program. The Vice State Minister including his team and the Regional Health Bureau Officials visited MCH clinic and the confidential clinic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, FGAE has designed a mitigation plan for the adverse effects of COVID-19 by allocating Birr 13 Million (Thirteen Million Birr) budget in 2020 fiscal year. FGAE has implemented birr 6,848,101.45 /Six Million Eight Hundred Forty Eight Thousand One Hundred One and Forty Five Cents/ gross expenditure for protective materials through head office and its branch offices for the prevention and control of the pandemic.
The first hand over of the support has given for the Ministry of Health by Dr. Tezeta Gossa, President of FGAE. And His Excellency Dr. Dereje Duguma, the honorable invited guest of the Program, handover the support for two regional health bureaus and for the Federation of National Associations of Person with Disability. The total worth of the support costs Birr 2,102,750.00 /Two Million One Hundred Two Seven Hundred Fifty Birr/ worth.
The supported Materials are hand sanitizers, Face masks, eye goggles, gloves, sanitary pads and detergents to strengthen the effort of the country to prevent the pandemic.
FGAE has implemented the total sum of COVID-19 Response Expenditure Birr 8,950,851.45 /Eight Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty One and Forty Five Cents/.
