Who We Are
Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health for All Ethiopians
The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is a non-profit, service-oriented organization committed to improving access to quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services throughout Ethiopia.

Over the past five decades, FGAE has grown from a single-room clinic operated by one nurse into a nationwide network of integrated SRH service delivery facilities. Today, the Association manages multiple levels of clinics, youth centers, outreach sites, and franchised service points operating across almost all regions of the country through its Area Offices.
FGAE delivers comprehensive family planning, maternal and child health, youth-focused programs, and community-based SRH services supported by a strong workforce and an extensive volunteer network. With hundreds of employees and thousands of program and policy volunteers, the Association continues to respond to evolving social, economic, and health challenges.
Aligned with national strategies and global development goals, FGAE’s Strategic Plan emphasizes sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, and partnership-based approaches to service delivery. Volunteers remain central to resource mobilization and community engagement, ensuring long-term impact and resilience.
