Reproductive Health Advocacy Network Africa (RHANA) held its annual meeting starting from 4 to 6 September 2012 at Accra, Ghana. Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia one of the its members association has actively participated in the meeting and provided inputs on reviewing and adopting RHANA strategic document, networking engagement and resource mobilization strategy . Opening the meeting Joshua Opoku, President of Planned parenthood Federation of Ghana(PPAG) said RHANA, a brainchild of international planned parenthood federation (IPPF),is a young African wide coalition of CSOs working on SRHR and related development.

Creating a Culture of Data Demand and Use (DDU) workshop designed to capacitate the Monitoring and Evaluation work of the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) was provided to 13 Monitoring and Evaluation Officers and 11 professionals from program and human resource work units of the FGAE. In the workshop held from June 19 to 21 June 2012 at the head office issues like ways of improving the M&E system, improving the M&E infrastructure and ensuring data quality were highlighted.

A Sensitization workshop on Population and Reproductive Health was provided for 400 Members of Parliament (MPs ) on May 18, 2012 at the House of Federation hall. The workshop basically focused on updating Mps and Implementers to discuss on the current Population, RH and Environment issues of the country.

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) awarded its best achievers who by far executed the Global Comprehensive Abortion Care Initiative (GCACI) project, one of the association’s intervention areas. During the ceremony held at the head office on May 4, 2011 a total of 15 Staff, 2 Area offices, 4 clinics and 2 youth centers awarded.
